Ways to Give

We believe that no adolescent should go without access to the arts, and that money should not get in the way of creative, talented young people who want to pursue music. That’s why we work hard to keep costs to families low, with fees as low as $1 per year.  This is only possible thanks to supporters like you! Your gift today will go directly to supporting our programming.

Support the empowerment of tomorrow’s community leaders through the universal language of music.

Please take a look below at some ways to give, or if you’ve got a more creative idea, please email our  development manager (katie@musicresourcecenter.org) with your thoughts!

Online

Online giving is quick, simple, and straightforward. Use our secure donation page to give today or sign up for a recurring monthly donation to amplify your support!

Mail

If you prefer a more classic method of giving, please consider mailing cash or checks to us directly! Our mailing address is:

Music Resource Center

105 Ridge Street

Charlottesville, VA 22902

Venmo

Stocks, Bonds, Securities

We are so grateful to accept stock donations, and while we’d love to post our transfer information here, we don’t actually get to find out who made the gift, and sometimes aren’t even notified that we’ve received anything! So that we can make sure you get an appropriate acknowledgement and tax receipt (and so that we know we’ve received your donation), please email katie@musicresourcecenter.org for our information.

Tangible Personal Property

This one is a little trickier.

If you’re hoping to donate some musical instruments or equipment, we’re not really taking donations of these at the moment. Thanks to our upcoming move, we’re trying to minimize the amount of gear we have to store and/or transport. That said, if you have something really cool, or a fully-functional drum throne (really, we do need more drum thrones), please email our program director at lucas@musicresourcecenter.org about making your equipment donation. We’ll keep this up-to-date as our needs change.

If you wanted to donate something else, generally speaking, we’d prefer that you sell it and donate the proceeds directly to us. We’re a very small team, and don’t usually have the time or resources to handle unusual donations. If it’s something you think would be perfect for a silent auction or raffle prize at an event, please contact katie@musicresourcecenter.org with your idea.

Events

Throughout the year, we often partner with local businesses for benefit events, and sometimes even throw our own fundraisers. Check out the list below of upcoming/ongoing events, and see if anything looks like something you’d want to attend!
