Membership is open for 6th to 12th graders. You must attend school daily to come to the Center.
Our annual fee of $200 includes access to the Center and all equipment and programming including individual lessons and workshops. Our Center provides over 50% of our members with sponsorships, allowing them to come to the Center for little to no cost. We strive to be affordable and accessible to all families. The Music Resource Center uses a sliding scale based on family income. No one pays more than $200.
Note: We are waiving all membership fees for all new or renewing members for 2021. We recognize that COVID has impacted many people’s lives, and want to ensure that money is no barrier to membership. We do still ask that the household income section of the application be completed, as we report these data to a number of funding sources.
1. Download, print and complete the membership form. (Renewing members, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to see if you’re eligible to fill out our much shorter renewal form)
2. Visit the Center during our open hours, between 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm while Charlottesville city schools are session, or between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm during the summer, Monday through Friday.
3. Submit your application and receive a tour of the facility. Our staff will answer all your questions during the tour and set your membership up allowing you immediate access to our Center. Tours do not need to be scheduled in advance.
