Last month, State Farm joined Charlottesville-based Music Resource Center and a team of local volunteers to help refurbish and revitalize the arts education organization’s facilities. Now, the team behind Music Resource Center is kicking off its Summer Capital Campaign with the Studio RevAmp event on June 2, which includes a ribbon cutting ceremony and a talent show starring a diverse group of youth performers.
Renovations were completed as a part of the upcoming State Farm Neighborhood Sessions® TV special featuring the Dave Matthews Band. Through Neighborhood Sessions, State Farm brings the biggest names in music home to the places and people who have inspired them, all to celebrate the power of good neighbors. The ongoing effort will benefit both the Music Resource Center and Dave Matthews Band’s Bama Works Fund, which is administered by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
Media are invited to capture the ribbon cutting ceremony and youth performances. Interviews are available with local attendees, Music Resource Center student members, and representatives from both State Farm and Music Resource Center. Segments of the upcoming Studio RevAmp event will also be filmed for the Neighborhood Sessions television special airing on Turner Networks later this Fall.
