Instruction
Workshops
Our workshops are designed to give students a crash course in the most popular instruments and technology at the MRC. The sessions are offered four times a year—fall, winter, spring and summer—and each session is eight weeks long.
We recommend that students sign-up for the workshops in advance by calling the MRC. Members can join the workshops at any point in the session; however, material that was covered in the weeks prior to when they joined will not be repeated. All workshops, unless otherwise noted, are beginner level and require no previous experience.

Individual Lessons
At the MRC, working with our staff and volunteers in a one-on-one format is a privilege. While all MRC members have access to the staff and volunteers for questions and assistance on a daily basis, we reserve the privilege of scheduling individual lessons with staff and volunteers for students who have shown sustained interest and dedication to his or her craft and the MRC.
In order to be eligible for individual lessons, students must either complete an introductory workshop (in the area that he or she wants to take lessons), or be of Fame Track II level in our program.
Eligible members can download the Lesson Interest and Agreement Form and submit it in person to the MRC. Students will be matched with volunteers four times per year, in advance of each session.
The Winter 2012 session will start Jan. 30 and end March 31. Students should submit their forms no later than Jan. 27 in order to be matched with a volunteer for the winter session.
