MRC Video makes LA Film Festival

Posted by: | Comments (0)

The youth music video project Downlow, a project that evolved from a collaborative effort between Light House Studio and the Music Resource Center, has been accepted into the Los Angeles Film Festival, one of the most prestigious American Film Festivals that annually draws more than 90,000 attendees. Downlow features the music of singer/songwriter Arliss Adou and the videography of filmmaker Sam Gorman. The film was accepted in the “High School Shorts” section of the Future Filmmakers Showcase.

“It’s amazing to have two organizations collaborate every year and have this kind of result, where the end-product is recognized by one of the biggest forums for filmmaking,” said Lighthouse Executive Director Deanna Gould. The Los Angeles Film Festival is the premier showcase for the best American and international independent cinema production and is sponsored by The Los Angeles Times. To learn more about the Festival, visit the website at www.lafilmfest.com. The Festival runs from June 16-29, 2011.
